BJP claims Congress frustrated after youths’ demands for CBI probe fulfilled

The Bharatiya Janata Party said that after the youths’ demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case was fulfilled, the Congress found itself frustrated and exposed. The party alleged that Congress’s anger and accusations reflect its disappointment and internal despair. The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the Congress became restless after the government met the youths’ demand. He added that instead of welcoming the step, the Congress began questioning the same youths who had demanded the probe. According to Chauhan, this shows the party’s confusion and helplessness. He said that while the Congress is asking questions about the CBI investigation, it has avoided acknowledging that the government acted promptly to address the issue. Chauhan stated that the Congress never wanted a solution and became silent the moment the government approved a CBI inquiry and postponed the examination as demanded by the protesters. Chauhan added that once the youths’ demands were met, Congress started raising new objections. He said that even after the protesting youths called off their demonstration, appreciating chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s decision, the Congress continued to criticise the move. He accused the Congress of trying to find faults in every step and of using the issue for political gain. Responding to Congress’s remarks about BJP MLAs, Chauhan said the allegations were baseless. He clarified that MLAs did not question the government’s functioning but raised local concerns related to public issues. He said that Rajpur Road MLA Khajan Das only mentioned ministers’ field visits during a discussion, and the CM directed that ministers should tour their constituencies to address public grievances. Similarly, senior MLA Bishan Singh Chufal raised a question about an officer’s work regarding a wall, which the Congress tried to portray as criticism of the government. Chauhan said every MLA, whether from the ruling or opposition side, has the right to raise public issues and such matters should not be viewed through a political lens. He added that the BJP is a party with internal democracy but the Congress, in contrast, functions under high-command pressure, marked by factionalism and efforts to justify false narratives.
