Doon University has received approximately 3,000 online registration applications for undergraduate and postgraduate courses so far, according to registrar Durgesh Dimri. The university commenced the online admission application process for these courses on April 27, which will conclude on May 31.
Informing further about the admission, Dimri said that with only a few days left in the registration period, students are encouraged to complete their applications for both UG and PG courses by May 31. He also said that the entrance examination for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is expected to be organised in the third or fourth week of June.
He emphasised that Doon University offers 20 undergraduate courses and 49 postgraduate courses. The PG courses, in accordance with the National Education Policy, are categorised into two types: two-year and one-year programmes. Among the 49 postgraduate courses, 26 are two-year courses and 23 are one-year courses.
Dimri further informed that the admission process for these courses has begun. Interested students are encouraged to visit the university’s website to complete their online application registration for both UG and PG courses. The website contains the admission registration notification and the necessary procedures to follow.
Additionally, he informed that this year, a total of 905 seats have been reserved for undergraduate courses, while 865 seats are designated for postgraduate courses. Of the 865 PG seats, 285 are allocated for one-year courses and 580 for two-year courses, he added. Notably, for online registration, the fee is set at Rs 800 for general category students and Rs 400 for ST/SC candidates. Additionally, earlier Dimri also informed that the specific entrance examination details for the particular PG courses will be determined after the application process concludes.
