The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Dehradun organised a ‘Manak Manthan’ programme here on Thursday presided over by the former chief minister and Haridwar MP, Trivendra Singh Rawat.
Among those present were
the deputy director general (North), BIS, Snehlata; director, BIS Dehradun, Saurabh Tiwari and the additional commissioner, Food Safety Administration, Tajbar Singh.
Rawat, in his address, highlighted the importance of quality standards in providing pure drinking water and appreciated the initiatives taken by BIS in the field of consumer protection.
