The GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) will organise the 117th Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Mela from March 7 to 10 next year. Chairing the meeting of the Kisan Mela advisory board on Thursday, the university’s vice chancellor Manmohan Singh Chauhan said that the Kisan Mela will be held in a more attractive format.
The university’s Extension Education director Jitendra Kwatra informed the proposal and action regarding the Kisan Mela. The university vice chancellor approved organising the event from March 7 to 10. Chauhan further said that the theme of this Kisan Mela will be ‘sustainable agriculture development through the medium of cooperative farming’. He also directed the various officials and committee members to ensure that the necessary measures are taken to make the event a success. The organisers will also ensure the convenience of the farmers in the Kisan Mela, he added.
