GBPUAT to organise self-employment training program

Various training programmes will be organised under the self-employment scheme in September under the ‘Training and Tour Unit’ operated by the Directorate of Extension Education of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. The GBPUAT sources said that the objective of these training programmes is to help youth, farmers, women and other interested candidates become self-reliant by providing them with the technical knowledge and practical training necessary for self-employment.
The training programmes will include poultry farming, animal husbandry management, mushroom production, beekeeping, pig farming and goat rearing, the university officials said, adding that subject matter experts will provide theoretical and practical training based on modern techniques, enabling participants to establish self-employment in these areas and increase their income.

Only 35 to 40 trainees will be registered for the training programmes, based on priority. The registration fee for each training program is Rs 1,000 per trainee.
During the training period, accommodation and food will be provided at concessional rates prevalent in the university, the expenses of which will have to be borne by the trainees themselves.
