She explained that this therapy is especially beneficial for patients suffering from arthritis, back pain, cervical, joint pain, muscle stiffness, stress and rheumatic diseases. “Patients can achieve better health by taking advantage of this therapy as per regular medical advice,” she added.

Dr Siddhi said that Sarvanga Swedana therapy will be done under the supervision of a trained medical team and treatment would be provided only after assessing the health condition of each patient.

Speaking of this matter, the district Ayurvedic and Unani officer, Dr Subhash Chand said that a Sarvang Swedana Therapy machine has been provided at the Government Ayush Hospital, New Tehri, to provide better Ayush medical facilities to the district’s residents. He said that with the opening of this facility, patients would have access to modern Ayurvedic treatment locally and would not need to travel elsewhere.

The doctors of AYUSH wing appealed to the people of the district to take advantage of this new medical facility being provided by the AYUSH department and in case of any health problem, they should consult specialist doctors and get treatment.
