GBPUAT’s ‘Green Yagna’: VC plants sapling

On the fifth day of the 15-day ‘Green Yagna’ campaign at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, tree plantation was done by the vice-chancellor Shivendra Kumar Kashyap and other officials in the Gandhi Bhawan premises and Subhash Bhawan girls’ hostels of the university.

Kashyap stated that the university’s ‘Green Yagna’ campaign aims to make the campus greener and more environmentally friendly and also to foster awareness among students and society about nature conservation. He added that tree planting is just as important as plant conservation, and everyone should actively contribute to this end.
During the programme, the message of building a green campus and protecting the environment was given by planting fruit trees like guava, mango, jackfruit and lemon.

Among those present on the occasion were the dean, Student Welfare, Vipin Dhyani and acting dean, Agriculture College, Manoj Raghav.
