The Kisan Mela Advisory Committee at GBP University of Agriculture and Technology has intensified preparations for the 118th All India Kisan Mela and Agricultural Industry Exhibition slated from October 10 to 13. This time the theme is ‘Prosperous Farmers through Smart Agriculture and Digital Revolution’. While chairing a meeting convened to take stock of the preparations, the GBPUAT vice- chancellor, Manmohan Singh Chauhan instructed the members of the Kisan Mela Advisory Committee to make the Kisan Mela even more attractive than last year.
He said that the lectures to be delivered by the scientists during the farmers’ seminar, the visits of farmers to various research centres, felicitating progressive farmers, preparations for distributing prizes to stall holders and proposed budget for the fair had been taken up for discussion at the meeting.
