Govt approves multi-level parking at Neelkanth temple & Ramnagar

The State government has given financial approval for construction of multi-level parking in Neelkanth Mahadev temple in Pauri district and Ramnagar town in Nainital district. The approval was given during the meeting of the expenditure- finance committee held at the State secretariat on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by chief secretary Anand Bardhan.
The parking at Neelkanth will be constructed at a cost Rs 51. 83 crore while a sum of Rs 38.57 crore will be spent on construction of multi-level parking in Ramnagar.
While approving the proposal given by the Urban Development department for construction of multi-storey parking lots at Neelkanth and Ramnagar, the CS directed that compliance with construction guidelines should be ensured. He directed that special attention be paid to other technical aspects including turning radius for entry and exit at the multi-level parking at Neelkanth and Ramnagar.
The CS said that geotechnical survey of the parking land at Neelkanth Mahadev must be done compulsorily. He also directed that special attention be paid to the beautification of the building’s facade.
In the meeting proposals from the Urban Development department, Peyjal and Public Works Department were approved by the committee.
The committee approved Pipalkoti Nagar Panchayat drinking water scheme with total cost of Rs. 24.38 crore, Tilwara Nagar Panchayat drinking water scheme (Rs 39.86 crore) and Ukhimath Nagar Panchayat drinking water scheme ( Rs 25.78 crore). The approval for Lalkuan Nagar Panchayat sewer line project was also given by the committee. In the meeting, the CS gave instructions for installation of meters in gravity based drinking water projects. He also fixed a time limit for completion of the sewer line projects and gave instructions for continuous monitoring of ongoing projects. The committee also approved the construction of Kathgodam bypass road in Nainital district by the PWD.
Secretary R Rajesh Kumar, Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Dilip Jawalkar and Ranveer Singh Chauhan and other officers attended the meeting.
