The Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Rtd) expressed profound grief over the death of 14 persons in the accident that occurred in Rudraprayag district. A tempo traveller carrying around 25 passengers plunged into Alakananda river. In a condolence message, he said that he was praying for the departed souls and wishing for the swift recovery of the injured.
