Even as no trace has been found yet of the trekker lost at Dayara Bugyal in Uttarkashi district, a tourist was reported missing in the Valley of Flowers in Chamoli district on Wednesday. The police, State Disaster Response Force and Forest department teams are conducting a joint search operation to search for the missing person.
According to the Nanda Devi National Park divisional forest officer Abhimanyu, Gabbar Singh (48) from Faridabad in Haryana had gone to the Valley of Flowers on Wednesday but attempts to contact him had not been successful. A joint rescue team is searching for the missing tourist at the location, he said.
