U’khand enters agreement with German innovation hub for employment to youth

In an attempt to connect the skilled youth of the State in sectors like health, automobile, vocational training, hydrogen and renewable energy technology, innovation based start-ups in Germany, the Uttarakhand government Inked a letter of intent (LoI) with the Germany-based innovation hub Rhine-Main at the chief minister’s residence on Friday. The LoI was signed in presence of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. 

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that this is a good initiative towards connecting the youth of Uttarakhand with employment. He said that there is no dearth of talent in Uttarakhand and the state government is paying special attention to the skill development of the youth.  “The youth of the state are also being linked to skill development on the basis of demand from various countries. Along with the skill development of the youth of the state, the State government has also made arrangements for training them in foreign languages. Continuous efforts are being made by the government to connect the youth with employment. Many youngsters are working in foreign countries after receiving training on skill development and foreign language,’’ he said. 

Cabinet minister Saurabh Bahuguna, principal secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, secretaries Shailesh Bagauli, Vinay Shankar Pandey and C Ravishankar and others attended the ceremony. The  German delegation consisted of the Mayor of Raunheim city David Rendle, advisor, Foreign Investment Cell of Germany Saurabh Bhagat and CEO of Innovation Hub Rhine-Main Stefan Wittekind.
