Indian values only solution to global unrest: Chouhan

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that when the world is going through a period of intense unrest, uncertainty and conflict the eternal values as enshrined in the Indian culture could lead it to enduring peace, understanding and harmony. He said this while addressing the closing ceremony of the Akhand Jyoti Centenary Celebrations organised by Shantikunj in Haridwar on Saturday. “This is the time when trade is being weaponised with tendencies to dominate the world through sheer power increasing,” he said. Lauding the work of the Gayatri Parivar, he said that this signifies a stream of culture and values. “The Akhand Jyoti is not an ordinary light, but rather a light that shines more from within than from without. It works to connect intellect with wisdom, action with religion and the soul with God,” he observed.
The governor Gurmeet Singh said that the 51-day ritual had sent a message of devotion, service and coordination to humanity. “This is not merely a religious event, but a pledge of spiritual and moral reconstruction, which every citizen must embrace in their lives,” he stressed.

Addressing the occasion, Chinmay Pandya of Shantikunj said that spirituality is now measured by social media likes while true spiritual practice is not a miracle but a path to refinement.
Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were the district magistrate, Mayur Dixit and senior superintendent of police Pramendra Singh Dobhal.
