The department of Commerce, Visiting Professor Cell of DSB Campus of Kumaun University and Kumaun University, Nainital jointly organised an online workshop on the topic Introduction to Financial Management.
SEBI’s smart trainer Anuya Deshpande spoke on this topic as the keynote speaker in the session. Before this, the director, Visiting Professor Cell, KU, Prof Lalit Tiwari inaugurated the programme.
In the session, Deshpande delivered a detailed lecture on the subject of Financial Management. She mainly gave tips to investors to stay safe, adding that one should not invest in any place which is not registered or regulated by SEBI. She also explained in detail about short-term and long-term investments.
She further said that an investor should make special arrangements for investment and make liquid and fixed investments according to his/her needs so that they can be used at the time of need. She also explained capital market, money market and mutual funds. Besides, she explained in detail about various schemes of SEBI and Government of India for investment.
