In latest news from Uttarakhand, responding to the brewing controversy over his son’s selection for operating cruise boats in Tehri reservoir, the State tourism minister Satpal Maharaj said that the process of selection was absolutely transparent. Notably, after Tehri Special Area Tourism Development Authority had sought applications, 25 people applied and following scrutiny, six of them were qualified.
“My son Suyash Rawat is among them. Although I affirm that complete transparency was maintained at every step of the process, if anyone has an objection to my son’s selection I will ask my him to withdraw his application,” he said in a press statement.
