Seva fortnight: 239 ITBP jawans examined at a health camp

As a part of Sewa Pakhwada, a health camp was organised on Saturday at ITBP Mahidanda, Uttarkashi under the joint auspices of the Health department and the ITBP Battalion Hospital. A total of 239 army personnel were screened during the event organised under the theme ‘Healthy Women Healthy Families’ chaired by the chief medical officer, Uttarkashi, Dr B S Rawat. Along with this, ITBP jawans donated 12 units of blood and 40 other blood donors registered for donating blood in future.
Dr Rawat stated that regular health camps are being organised at all medical facilities and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across the district during the special fortnight.
He further informed that a number of specialists from GDMC Doon Medical College are coming on Monday to provide free health services to the people here at the primary health Centre, Dhauntari. He appealed to local residents to attend the camps in large numbers and avail themselves of the benefits.
