Members attract attention with traditional attires, ornaments

The members of the fifth Vidhan Sabha of Uttarakhand expressed their commitment towards the culture of the State by wearing traditional attires on the first day of the special session of the assembly on Monday. The session is being held to mark completion of 25 years of the creation of the State and the members appeared enthusiastic to take part in it. Women legislators Sarita Arya, Asha Nautiyal and Renu Bisht attracted the attention of everyone by wearing traditional Pichhoda and donned ornaments such as Gulaband (necklace), Paunchi (bracelet) and Nathuli (nose ring). Almost all the members of the house wore the Pahadi topi (head gear) which gave a unique and traditional look to the Vidhan Sabha.
