In view of the huge influx of devotees coming for darshan of Lord Tungnath- revered as the third Kedar- at Tungnath Dham, Rudraprayag police have issued special guidelines for security arrangements and smooth darshan.
They have appealed to all devotees to visit the temple premises only through a queue. Furthermore, they should leave the shrine immediately after darshan to avoid unnecessary crowding in the premises. Besides, theadministration suspended the Chandrashila trek shortly after the Meteorological department issued a warning for heavy rain, hail, and thunderstorms in the area.
Officials of the district administration informed that the route had been completely closed for the trekkers at 12:00 noon on Saturday.
To avoid any untoward incidents, all devotees have been urged to cooperate with police and local administration, given the weather-related warning
