Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the youth were unable to understand Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his Doon visit. He tried to misguide the youth on the paper leak issue but the youth did not attend his programme and those who did thought it better to leave. Responding to Congress State in-charge Kumari Selja’s statements, Bhatt a re-examination was held in a transparent manner after the leak was exposed. “In Uttarakhand, various leaks in recruitment exams started during the Congress’ term. The sale of jobs in government departments also started under the Congress. This is why chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami introduced a strict anti-copying law in the State,” he said.
Bhatt said that two persons accused in the alleged Badrinath Dham donation theft case are in jail while further probe is underway. In Ayodhya, the special investigation team has arrested more than a dozen accused in the Ram Mandir case. “Strict laws and a zero-tolerance policy are in place to dismantle the mafia in Uttarakhand. The mining mafia was working under government protection when the Congress was in power while now mining has become a source of government revenue. Irrespective of the Congress’ propaganda, the people are aware of its intention and are eager to teach the party a lesson,” the BJP State president said.
