To mark the Himalaya Day, a legal literacy and awareness camp was organised by the Uttarkashi District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) at Vijay Nagar, Gyansu on Tuesday. The participants took oath to protect the Himalayas and environment.
Detailed information was given at the camp on topics like environmental protection, global warming, landslides and tree plantation. Along with this, the participants were also informed about the provisions of NALSA (Legal Services to Drug Victims and Legal Services for De-Addiction) Scheme 2015 and Human Trafficking (Prevention, Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2021.
On this occasion, the secretary Sachin Kumar said that his organisation would continue with its efforts to make people aware about public interest issues. Over100 people participated in the camp.
