Members of the PACS Secretary Employees Joint Union, Uttarakhand launched an indefinite state-wide protest and lockout starting Monday. This escalation follows a multi-day ‘pen-down’ (kalamband) strike where cooperative employees across districts like Dehradun, Chamoli, and Bageshwar actively boycotted regular work to demand administrative reforms.
They also wore black bands on their arms. The union leaders said that they hoped for a prompt solution with the fulfillment of their unmet demands.
