The Mahanagar Congress president Jaswinder Singh Gogi has said the students who have spent years preparing for competitive examinations, are facing mental stress, insecurity and disappointment due to repeated paper leaks, cancellations of examinations and delays in recruitment processes. He said that the youngsters are losing faith in the examination system. Addressing a press conference at Rajiv Bhawan here on Wednesday, Gogi said that In Uttarakhand also the recruitment scams and paper leaks have jeopardized the futures of millions of young people.

He said that the tragic suicide of Riya Thapa, a promising student from Dehradun, has shocked the society. “ Riya had given the NEET examination, but the resulting confusion and stress following its cancellation led her to take this tragic step. This is not just a family tragedy, but a reflection of an insensitive system that has pushed young people into despair and depression,’’ he said.

Gogi said that the Congress Party believes this is not just an administrative failure, but an injustice to the future of our youth. He said that when the examinations are repeatedly cancelled, question papers are leaked, and cheating mafias are active, it creates a feeling among young people that hard work and talent are no longer valued.

“NTA was formed in 2017 and since then, there have been 89 incidents of paper leak in which 49 papers have been conducted again, due to which the morale of the children has gone down,’’ she said.

The general secretary Rajendra Bhandari said that the Congress Party demands that the paper leaks and recruitment scams should be investigated impartially and strict action should be taken against the culprits. He said that a special campaign should be launched to destroy the network of copying mafia and the examination system should be made transparent and reliable.
