Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh attended the Trayodashi of renowned shooter Jaspal Rana in Dehradun on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the deputy chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Brijesh Pathak also visited the house of Rana to pay homage to him.
Defence minister Rajnath Singh paid homage to Rana by laying a floral wreath on his photograph. He also met with his family to express his condolences and prayed to God to grant the family patience and strength in this hour of grief. Notably Singh is the father in law of Sushma Rana, the sister of Jaspal Rana.
Cabinet ministers Saurabh Bahuguna and Khajan Das, Lok Sabha MP Mahesh Sharma, Ajay Bhatt, Sudhanshu Trivedi and the son of Rajnath Singh and MLA Pankaj Singh also paid glowing tributes to Rana on the ocassion.
