Making an important announcement on the occasion of Makar Sakranti, Yog guru Baba Ramdev said on Sunday that Patanjali is soon going to bring Ayurvedic medicine for the cure of Tuberculosis (TB). “ We are also going to bring the first Ayurvedic antibiotic and anti aging medicine. People’s faith in Ayurveda has increased. That is why we have defeated cancer also with Ayurveda,’’ he said. Ramdev was speaking at a programme organised in the auditorium of Patanjali Yogpeeth on Sunday. Giving a call to the people of the country come out of economic slavery as well as education, medical, ideological and cultural slavery and self-indulgence, Ramdev said everyone should becoming as bright, powerful, speedy and progressive as the sun. He said that we should take a pledge to move forward on the occasion of Uttarayani by taking a resolution of unbroken and tremendous effort.
Acharya Balakrishna said that the day of Sun’s entry into Capricorn from Sagittarius is celebrated as Makar Sankranti. He told that the festival of Makar Sankranti is celebrated in different ways in different regions of the country. “While it is called Sankranti in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka, it is celebrated as Pongal festival in Tamil Nadu. Whereas, it is celebrated as Lohri in Punjab and Haryana and Bihu in Assam,’’ he said.
