Doon police arrested the accused of the case of a youth’s murder in Ranipokhari area.
The deceased and the accused used to work at the same place, police said and added that the accused had murdered the youth to avenge the insults he would heap on him in
public. “The accused made the deceased youth booze a lot and when he was drunk, he was pushed into an old sewer water tank,” a police officer privy to the details said.
Notably, the deceased’s father had filed a complaint at Ranipokhari police station on October 14, stating that his son Shubham Pal alias Chunni had gone missing. The next day, the body of the youth had been found floating in a tank at Shantinagar, Ranipokhari. The accused was identified as Rishabh Dhiman alias Babu (19), resident of Street No 1, Shantinagar, Ranipokhari.
