The saints associated with akharas have lauded the Uttarakhand government’s efforts to make the upcoming Haridwar Ardh Kumbh 2027 a big event in terms of congregation and facilities. “We are happy as the government is ensuring convenience, safety and smooth darshan arrangements for devotees,” said an ascetic, adding that the administration is maintaining constant dialogue with akharas to finalise the arrangements in accordance with their expectations.
Senior district administration officials said that the works on roads, drinking water, electricity, sanitation, parking and other infrastructure are progressing rapidly in the Kumbh Mela area. At the same time, a plan is being effectively implemented to ensure the timely completion of temporary arrangements, they added.
They further mentioned the fact that led by the Mela officer Sonika, the Mela administration is continuously communicating with the akharas and saints. Moreover, the additional Mela officer Dayanand Saraswati along with other officials have met saints from various akharas to share information about the preparations and receive suggestions.
Satisfied with the government’s initiatives to keep the ascetics informed of the preparations, the religious fraternity assured to extend full cooperation to ensure the event’s success.
