Regarding the statement of various school managements of Dehradun that they will not bear the responsibility of the health of students if they get infected with Covid-19 disease, the Uttarakhand Abhibhavak Sangh (UAS) wrote to Dehradun district magistrate Ashish Kumar Srivastava to express concern over the matter. According to the president of the association Ram Kumar Singhal, the safety and health of students of private schools is the responsibility of the school management as per the Supreme Court of India. Only the students of class X and XII should be considered to call in schools in case they have any doubts in any subject, Singhal wrote to Srivastava. “We hope that the administration will consider all the factors affecting children while deciding to allow the reopening of schools in the district,” stated Singhal.
