PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Uttarkashi
During the Seva Pakhwada being conducted to mark the completion of five years of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government, a special public awareness campaign has been launched in Uttarkashi to make the public welfare schemes- rolled out by the Centre and the state government- accessible to every citizen. Under this initiative, the book ‘Meri Yojana’ is being widely promoted, while special broadcasts will also be made via All India Radio to disseminate information about the schemes to the remote areas. Notably,
the Seva Pakhwada, which began on July 4, will continue until July 18. The aim of the campaign is to provide the general public with information about various government welfare schemes in a simple and easy manner so that eligible beneficiaries can take maximum benefit from the schemes, said the district administration officials.
According to the administration, the book contains detailed information on Central and state government-run social security, financial assistance, health, education, agriculture, self-employment and other development schemes. It also provides simple details on eligibility, application procedures and required documents, so that people can access information about the schemes in one place.
To disseminate information to remote and rural areas, the key schemes included in the book will also be broadcast on All India Radio 100.5 MHz (FM). Four special bulletins will be broadcast daily. The first bulletin will be broadcast from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM, the second from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, the third from 5:10 PM to 5:45 PM, and the fourth from 5:45 PM to 7:00 PM.
