The rapid adoption of artificial intelligence is fundamentally reshaping the modern workplace, moving the conversation beyond automation to augmentation. This enables HR teams to move beyond routine administration and focus on strengthening employee experience, culture, engagement and strategic workforce planning.
The panel also examined how organisations should approach AI adoption responsibly, emphasising the importance of maintaining human oversight alongside increasing automation. As AI capabilities continue to evolve, organisations will need to adopt “human-in-the-loop” models that balance automation with accountability, accuracy and trust. Sonali further noted that as AI literacy becomes a workplace necessity, professionals who know how to collaborate effectively with AI tools will gain a significant competitive advantage, as the future is not “AI versus humans,” but “AI-enabled humans versus everyone else.”
