CM Dhami greets people on the occasion of Holi

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Holi festival. The CM said that the Holi is not just a festival of colours but also a celebration that conveys the message of mutual trust, brotherhood and social harmony. He said that Uttarakhand’s cultural diversity is our strength and such events serve as a medium to connect our traditional heritage with the new generation. 

The CM attended a Holi Milan Samaroh held at his residence on Monday. The celebration showcased a blend of colours, culture, art, music and folk traditions. 

Ministers, MLAs, government officers and eminent personalities attended the programme. The CM said the State government is committed to preserving and promoting the state’s folk culture, folk languages and traditional arts. He added that our cultural heritage is Uttarakhand’s identity, and preserving it is our collective responsibility. Folk artists from all parts of the State performed in the programme.

In the event, Jaunsari artists performed the Harul dance, while a team of Kumaoni Holi revellers sang Holi songs. A group of artists from the Rath region of Pauri district made people dance to their tunes. The CM and other visitors danced to the tunes of musical instruments with the folk artists.
