PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

The vice president of Uttarakhand Congress, Suryakant Dhasmana has said that the paper leak at Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University has once again exposed the failure of the BJP government in the State. He said that the latest paper leak shows that all the claims made by the government regarding the prevention of paper leaks and cheating have proven to be false.

Interacting with the mediapersons at the State Congress headquarters on Thursday, Dhasmana said that nearly a dozen paper leaks have taken place in the State in the recent years, putting the future of lakhs of students at stake. He said that unemployment in the State is at its peak and individuals linked to the ruling party, such as Hakam Singh and Sanjay Dhariwal, who are involved in paper leaks are roaming freely under the protection of the government.

Dhasmana further alleged that the BJP government is immersed neck deep in corruption. He said that those who project themselves as custodians of Sanatan Dharma and Hindutva are now targeting religious institutions as well.

The Congress leader alleged that gold is missing from Kedarnath Temple and offerings worth crores of rupees have been stolen from Badrinath Dham. The cash, gold, silver, diamonds and jewellery worth billions of rupees have been stolen from Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya.  He added that all of this has happened under the patronage of BJP governments, yet the BJP and the RSS have remained silent on the matter.

He said that paper leaks and theft of temple offerings will be the main issues for the Congress in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections. The Congress will take these issues to the people, and these will be the factors that will remove the BJP from power in the State, he added.
