U’khand govt & Central Bank of India sign salary account MoU

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Uttarakhand Government and Central Bank of India, Dehradun, regarding the operation of salary accounts for the State Government employees. Under this MoU, salary accounts of employees working in various departments, boards and affiliated institutions of the Uttarakhand Government will be opened with the Central Bank of India to make banking services more accessible and simple. The director, Directorate of Treasuries, Pensions & Entitlements, Government of Uttarakhand, Amita Joshi and the zonal head, Central Bank of India, Delhi Zone, Shishram Tundwal signed the MoU.
The Uttarakhand government officials described this agreement as a significant initiative in the interest of employees, stating that it will safeguard the lives of employees and their families, provide a better banking experience, and simplify and secure financial transactions.
Shishram informed that the bank’s salary account, Cent Prestige, will offer air accident insurance cover, personal accident insurance, processing fee waivers and special loan interest rate discounts for the State government employees.
Further, Central Bank of India, Dehradun regional office and all branches are organising a mega retail loan outreach camp on February 21 from 12:15 PM at Jakhan in Dehradun. This event is being organised to highlight the bank’s efforts to enhance its customer-centric approach and make banking services more accessible to the general public, the bank officials said. Senior bank officials will also be present at this event to directly interact with customers, listen to their problems and provide timely solutions.
