Universities, colleges to upload student’s detail on digi-locker, NAD, ABC platforms soon: Rawat

The Higher Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat has directed all the government and private colleges and universities to upload the educational certificates, credit data and other important documents of the students in the digi- locker, National Academic Depository (NAD) and Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) within the stipulated time period given by the University Grants Commission (UGC).  The UGC has directed all the educational institutes to upload all the data of the students between academic year 2021 to 2024 related with the APAAR ID on the digi-locker/ NAD-ABC platform compulsorily.

Rawat said that the State government is working on priority on digital transformation in the institutes of higher education. He said that this digital arrangement will ensure that the educational documents of the students are available anytime, anywhere on the online platform. This will ensure transparency, accessibility and will save time, he added.

He said that the NAD-ABC system of the union government not only provides digital education recognition to the students but also makes the credit transfer easy. 

Rawat said that the UGC has also increased the time frame for the universities to upload the documents on the digi-locker to November 2025. He further informed that a workshop will be organised on November 19 in Doon University in which the review of the process of data uploading on the NAD-ABC platform will be done. All the controller of examination of the universities, nodal officers and technical officers of the colleges have been directed to attend the workshop with an updated report on upload of the documents of the students on digi-locker.
