The Speaker of Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha, Ritu Khanduri Bhushan met the Union Home minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Wednesday.
During the meeting, she presented a book on “Ramman”, a traditional folk dance of Uttarakhand that is recognised by UNESCO. While sharing information about the rich culture and traditions of Uttarakhand, she stressed on protecting and promoting this heritage.
The Speaker also discussed important issues related to the overall development of Kotdwar and promotion of its folk traditions with him. Shah assured his support in the developmental initiatives as well as those for promotion of culture.
