Heavy rain forecast in seven districts today

The spell of heavy rains is on the wane across Uttarakhand with the State Meteorological Centre downgrading the orange (be prepared to take action) to yellow (be aware). The centre has issued a yellow warning regarding the possibility of heavy rain/thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Almora, Pauri and Pithoragarh districts on Friday.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in the remaining districts of the State today. Apart from this, moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Almora and Champawat districts and at many places in the remaining districts of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to gGenerally cloudy sky. One/two spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 34 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
