The regional employment office of Dehradun will organise the fourth job fair of the year on its premises on November 26 in which about 40 private companies will be offering job opportunities to unemployed youth of the district.
The regional employment officer (REO), Ajay Singh said that candidates will interview for about 1,500 vacancies by the companies in this job fair. He informed that both fresher and experienced candidates are allowed to participate in the job fair.
Candidates with minimum qualification of class VIII to post graduation can also apply for a job in the last job fair of the year. He said that interested candidates can register offline in the employment office by filling out the application form along with the required documents by Saturday. He said that about 40 companies are expected to participate in the job fair to provide jobs to candidates aged 18 to 45 years and only registered candidates would be allowed to participate in the job fair. He informed that interviews will be held for about 1,500 vacancies for several types of jobs including banking, hospitality, sales and marketing among others.
The companies will offer annual salaries ranging from Rs 8,000 to Rs 40,000 to deserving candidates. Singh informed that job fairs are organised regularly by the district administration with the aim to create and provide employment opportunities for unemployed youths. He said that the administration has organised three job fairs this year in which more than 500 youths have got jobs and he is optimistic that more candidates will get jobs through the fair this time too.
