During checking on the roads in Ranipokhri area, police stopped an ambulance and found cartons of unauthorised liquor in it. Police stopped the ambulance for checking as the hooter was being played continuously. It was late night and the road was nearly deserted. Police saw that a woman was lying there and aside from the driver, two other men were sitting in the ambulance. When the driver was asked why he was using hooter continuously when there was hardly any vehicle on the road he failed to answer the question satisfactorily. The police team got suspicious and thoroughly checked the ambulance. Several cartons of unauthorised liquor were found. Four persons, including the woman who was lying in the ambulance, were arrested for illegally transporting unauthorised liquor.
