Uttarakhand health secretary Dr R Rajesh Kumar is reaching Kedarnath on foot. The objective behind undertaking this initiative is to inspect directly the health units which have come up along the pilgrimage route. It is learnt that the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the health minister Dhan Singh Rawat instructed the health secretary to reach the shrine on foot so that he can see for himself how things on the health front are going on.
The health secretary, on reaching Rudraprayag, visited medical units up to Chhauri, Cheerbasa, Jangalchatti and Rambada. He also saw arrangements in the health centers at Guptkashi, Sonprayag and Gaurikund among others and gave important instructions to the officials.
Notably, the state government has been leaving no stone unturned this time to ensure that the pilgrims get the best health facilities on the route.
