PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun
Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal said that the police should make public the names of those allegedly duped by the conman claiming to be the personal secretary of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Interacting with the media persons at the headquarters of the State Congress on Tuesday, Godiyal said that the police should ensure clarity on the issue involving the conman Gaurav Kumar. He said that the person (Kumar) also called him and said that due to the complaints against him the party high command is planning to remove him from the post of PCC president. “I curtly told him that the party high command should remove me today itself. I told him that I am a worker of the Congress party and will continue to work for the party even if the party leadership sacks me. I became suspicious when this man asked me if he could settle the issue in my favour,’’ Godliyal said.
The PCC president said that from the last one and half months, he was getting the information that something is brewing against him and there are some people who are conspiring to remove him from the post of PCC president.
“I am a person with clear conscience, intent and past. I became so disturbed by the information that my sleep deserted me. I thank the god that the culprit has been arrested,’’ he said.
