During anti-narcotics drive, police from Lalkuan police station in Nainital district of Uttarakhand arrested a woman Kalavati Devi (50) from a shop at Bindukhatta with 378 gm of cannabis. Cash of Rs 12,200 was also seized from her. Police said that FIR had been lodged against the woman under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. She would be produced before the court, police said, adding that the son of this woman was in jail for smuggling cannabis. Police interrogated the woman and found that she was involved in selling cannabis after having these brought from hills.
