The hockey competition organised by the Dehradn District Sports Office (DSO) which started on Sunday will conclude on Tuesday. The birth anniversary of hockey legend Dhyan Chand will also be celebrated on the occasion.
District sports officer Nidhi Binjola informed that the three-day event exclusively for open men is being held at Maharana Pratap Sports College (MPSC). An inter-school basketball competition for boys and girls was also organised at Parade Ground, aiming to promote sports among the younger generation. She said that three matches were held on the inaugural day of the hockey competition.
