CM set to hold GIS roadshow in Chennai

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is set to conduct a roadshow in Chennai by way of promoting the Global Investors Summit (GIS) scheduled to be held in Dehradun in December. Two State cabinet ministers Satpal Maharaj and Saurabh Bahuguna are accompanying the CM on his Chennai trip. As per the senior officers who are privy to the CM’s schedules, Dhami is slated to meet some prominent members of the business fraternity associated with numerous sectors and potential investors. They further informed that the Chennai meeting of the CM with entrepreneurs would be focused on sectors of health care, pharmaceuticals and energy among others. Notably, till now, memoranda of understanding (MoU) to the tune of nearly Rs 55,000 crore have been inked so far for the upcoming GIS during the CM’s promotional trips to England, UAE and Delhi. The theme of the GIS is ‘Peace to Prosperity’ and the principal focus areas of the summit are tourism, wellness and hospitality industries aside from new, non-traditional industries. CM keeps stressing that his government is committed to developmentally transform Uttarakhand while preserving its cultural, natural and spiritual uniqueness.
