Govt seeks suggestions of employees associations for new transfer policy

The State government has sought suggestions from the employees associations for the new transfer policy. On the orders of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the additional chief secretary Radha Raturi held a meeting with the representatives of different associations of State government employees and teachers on Friday. In the meeting discussions on the new transfer policy were held in presence of the officers of Personnel, Law and Finance departments. Raturi said that the government wants to ensure that the interests of the employees are served along with better facilities to the general public and keeping this in mind suggestions for the new transfer policy are being sought.
She said that there are many places in the State which were in the category of hard to access (Durgam and Ati Durgam) about 15 years ago but now are in the category of easy to access (Sugam) places. The ACS directed the officers of the department of Personnel to re-examine such places. In the meeting, suggestions such as appointment of the employees of district, division and State cadre in their home district once in their service tenure, promotions and counselling sessions before transfers were given by the representatives of the employee associations. The ACS also requested the office bearers of the employees associations to give suggestions in writing to the State administration.
The meeting was attended by additional secretaries V Shanmugam, Lalit Mohan Rayal, Yogendra Yadav, Rajni Shukla, Amandeep Kaur and office bearers of the different employees associations.
