Cabinet minister and Someshwar MLA Rekha Arya distributed free cooking gas connections under the Ujjwala Yojana along with Mahalakshmi kits to the residents of Hawalbagh. She distrusted these during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme organised in Almora. During the programme, Arya emphasised the significance of the government’s role in providing benefits through the schemes. Additionally, she distributed gas connections and Mahalakshmi kits to those in need. Further, cheques were distributed to individuals who received the first installment of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, while keys were handed over to those who had houses constructed under the same scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, Arya affirmed the government’s commitment to extend the benefits of these schemes to every individual in society. Through the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the state aims to ensure the widespread implementation of these welfare programmes. The purpose of this campaign is to enhance public awareness regarding the schemes implemented by the Central Government and to extend the reach of these schemes to a larger number of individuals, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. The said initiative aims to disseminate information about 17 key schemes of the Centre and guarantee that the intended beneficiaries receive the benefits of these schemes within specified timelines, she added.
It will be recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra from Khunti in Jharkhand on November 15. The primary objective of this Yatra is to educate citizens about various welfare schemes and encourage their active involvement to achieve 100 per cent implementation of these schemes through collaborative efforts.
