Rajnath Singh to inaugurate Patanjali Gurukulam on Jan 6: Ramdev

In latest news from Uttarakhand, Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev said that to mark the 29th anniversary of Patanjali Yogpeeth, bicentenary of the Arya Samaj founder Swami Dayanand Saraswati and the birth anniversary of the founder of Gurukul Swami Darshnanand Saraswati, foundation stone of Patanjali Gurukulam- mooted to be the largest gurukul of the world- would be laid on January 6 by the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. He further said that they had named the institution as Swami Darshnanand Gurukul College, Jwalapur. He said he was unshakably convinced that it would usher in a revolution in the realm of global education. Swami Ramdev further informed that the chief ministers of Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh-Pushkar Singh Dhami and Mohan Yadav- and the Union minister Arjun Ram Meghwal are among those who will attend the inaugural ceremony. The institute will have residential facilities for 1500 students and Rs 250 crore is being spent to build the seven-storey edifice to house the Gurukul, he said and added that Rs 250 crore more would be spent to build the branches of the Gurukul.
