State govt committed to development of Chamoli: Dhami

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of the development projects worth Rs 229.3 crore at Police ground Gopeshwar in Chamoli district on Wednesday. The CM participated in a beneficiary felicitation ceremony in which the beneficiaries of various schemes were honoured. Speaking on the occasion the CM said that the presence of a huge crowd in the land of Lord Gopinath is an inspiration for him. He said that development of the border district of Chamoli is the priority of the State government. The CM said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi a historic decision such as providing food safety to 80 crore people has been taken. He said that the country is witnessing all round development under the leadership of PM Modi. The CM averred that the State government has taken a commitment to make Uttarakhand one of the leading States of the country and is moving forward with a mantra of simplification, solution, speedy disposal and satisfaction. He said that the State government has taken major and firm decisions such as Uniform Civil Code (UCC), anti copying law, anti conversion law and anti riot law.
The CM said that today the government is not only taking decisions but also implementing them on the ground. He claimed that after laying the foundation stones of development projects the government is ensuring their implementation in a fixed period of time. Dhami expressed confidence that the target of Viksit Uttarakhand will be achieved with the assistance and cooperation of the people of the State.
Speaking on the occasion Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt said that a wave of development is sweeping across the State. He said under leadership of PM Modi and CM Dhami the government has succeeded in providing electricity, drinking water, cooking gas and network to every household.
The Garhwal MP Teerath Singh Rawat said that PM Modi is working dedicatedly for the development of the nation and has made the entire world one family.
The Tharali MLA BR Tamta, Karnprayag MLA Anil Nautiyal, Ramesh Gadia and others were present on the occasion.
