Cong accuses ECI of concealing voter deletion data in Pre SIR & SIR

PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

The chairman of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) committee of Uttarakhand Congress, Manoj Rawat has accused the Election Commission of India of concealing the data of the voter deletion during the process or Pre SIR and SIR in the State.

Addressing media persons at the State Congress headquarters here on Monday, Rawat claimed that ECI has committed vote theft by deleting 13.85 lakh votes in a small State such as Uttarakhand during the entire process of SIR.

He said that the issue of auto-generation of Form VII, fake complaints by BJP workers and failure to take action against fake complainants proves that the ECI is working in collusion with the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Rawat said that names of about 14 per cent of voters in Uttarakhand were deleted during the Pre SIR and SIR which amounts to major vote theft. He said that the Congress party will approach the court on the issue. He also described the upcoming process of adding new voters through Form VI as inconsistent.

Rawat claimed that the hard work and strict vigilance of the booth level agents of the Congress party thwarted the plans of the ECI of deleting a large number of votes. The alertness of the BLAs of Congress party ensured inclusion of the names of most  of the eligible voters in Uttarakhand in the voter lists.

State general secretary Rajendra Bhandari, chief Spokesperson Garima Dasauni, SIR Committee member Amendra Bisht and others accompanied Rawat.
