The Dehradun senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh on Tuesday inspected the strong room at Maharana Pratap Sports College in Raipur and reviewed the security of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) of 10 legislative Assemblies kept there following the polling in Lok Sabha elections on April 19. He took stock of the security arrangements of the strong room and interacted with the police and paramilitary forces deployed there for security purposes. He also gave them some instructions regarding the security arrangements. Singh said that the authorities at the district administration level and the police level are taking regular stock of safety arrangements since all polling parties returned and deposited EVMs in the strong room with full security by April 20. He said that all personnel are efficiently conducting their duties and the senior police officials are regularly monitoring the security of the strong room at Maharana Pratap Sports College.
