CM holds virtual meeting on forest fire, water scarcity & Yatra

In latest news from Doon, while taking a virtual meeting of top officers on forest fire, water scarcity and the upcoming Char Dham Yatra from Delhi, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave several directives.
While talking to media after the meeting, the State’s chief secretary Radha Raturi said that the administration was roping in the local village communities in dousing the forest blaze which kept ravaging forest across the State, particularly in Kumaon division. Besides, she appealed to the people not to ignite the fire intentionally or unintentionally. She further said that the administration was fully prepared for the Char Dham Yatra commencing on May 12 and added that to solve water scarcity plaguing some areas, they were formulating long-term and short-term plans.
Raturi said that they were going all-out to make this year’s Char Dham Yatra plastic-free.
