In latest news from Uttarakhand, Tehri district administration is now gearing up for the counting of votes for six assembly segments located in the district that fall under the Tehri Lok Sabha and Garhwal Lok Sabha constituencies slated on June 4. The Tehri district magistrate who is also the district election officer Mayur Dixit said that the counting would be held at the centre set up at the Government Industrial Training Institute, New Tehri.
He further said that after the counting of votes, the EVM-VVPAT machines would be kept safe with full security in separate rooms for 09-Ghansali (SC), 10-Devprayag, 11-Narendranagar, 12-Pratapnagar, 13-Tehri and 14-Dhanolti, assembly wise, built in the EVM VVPAT Warehouse through GPS-equipped containers. Letters have been sent by the district election officer to the concerned for the presence of all the candidates contesting from 01-Tehri Garhwal Parliamentary Constituency and 02-Garhwal Parliamentary Constituency or the authorised representatives related to the party on the scheduled date and time.
